Refund policy
True North Works (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Todd Croy, a sole proprietor. This Refund Policy explains when we offer refunds on purchases made at truenorthworks.net. It works together with our Terms of Service.
Our products are instant digital downloads
Everything we sell is a digital product — a guide, template, toolkit, checklist, planner, prompt pack, or a ZIP of these. There is nothing physical to ship. Access to your files is granted immediately after your payment is confirmed, through a download link shown at checkout and sent to your email.
Because you receive and can keep your files right away, you agree that your purchase begins immediately and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to cancel or change your mind once the download has been made available to you. In plain terms: instant-access digital goods are generally non-refundable for change of mind.
When we do give a refund
We stand behind our products. We will provide a refund (or a replacement, if you’d prefer) if:
- The product is faulty — a file is corrupt, won’t open, or is materially incomplete, and we can’t fix it or provide a working copy; or
- The product is materially not as described on its product page; or
- You were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a purchase you did not authorize; or
- You did not receive your download and we are unable to deliver it to you.
What refunds do not cover
- Change of mind after you’ve been given access to the files.
- Results. Our products are educational. What you achieve depends on your own effort and circumstances, which are outside our control — so refunds cover product problems, not outcomes.
- Buying the wrong product by mistake where the product itself is exactly as described (email us anyway — we’ll try to help, e.g. with a swap).
Your statutory rights are protected
Nothing in this policy limits or removes any legal rights you have that cannot be waived under the consumer-protection laws of your country or region. Some jurisdictions (for example the EU and UK) give consumers rights regarding digital content that apply regardless of the above. Where such rights apply and cannot be waived, they take precedence over this policy.
How to request a refund
Email support@truenorthworks.net within 14 days of your purchase with:
- your order number (from your confirmation email),
- the product name, and
- a short description of the problem (a screenshot helps for file issues).
We typically respond within 1–2 business days and will always try to fix a problem first before issuing a refund.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued through our checkout provider (Shopify) back to your original payment method (Shopify Payments or PayPal). Once approved, refunds are usually completed within 5–10 business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card provider.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in loss of access to the purchased files while the dispute is investigated.
